In relation to your first question concerning passenger numbers during the COVID-19 pandemic; this information is freely available in the public domain and can be found on the Office for Rail and Road Data Portal: https://dataportal.orr.gov.uk/. There is a wealth of information available on the data portal, including the latest figures for the total number of journeys made on our services. In the first instance, we would like to direct you to the Passenger Rail Usage page of the data portal - https://dataportal.orr.gov.uk/statistics... . Here you will find a publication detailing the latest statistic release, as well as a table detailing passenger journeys per financial year (please scroll down to the table and select TfW).

In relation to your second question; please could you confirm the following:

- are you referring to operational staff (such as train drivers, conductors, guards, cleaning, catering, ticket desk staff) or do you also wish to include all staff across the entire organisation (including office based staff from departments such as finance, procurement, communications, project management) in your request?
- in terms of the reductions referred to, do you wish to request figures relating to staff members who were placed on furlough as a result of the pandemic, or does your request refer to the total number of those who have left the organisation during the stated timeframe for any reason (such as those who left TfW for a new job elsewhere)?

The required response time of 20 working days in which TfW must return the information you have requested will reset to zero upon receipt of the further information required.
