Radio royalties
Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
I would like to request the following information from you:
- How much has each national BBC Radio station paid to each musical artist per radio play (including through PRS or PPL), from 2016 to 2021?
- What proportion of BBC’s national radio station funds has been allocated to artist royalties each year, from 2016 to 2021?
I understand that within the act you are unable to provide "information about matters including editorial decisions about programming and budgets allocated to such programming", however my request is based on general music payments and compensation for radio artists, not specific programme budgeting.
Yours faithfully,
Evie Barrett
