Please could I have a breakdown in spreadsheet format of the following
information from 2013 - 2016:

- The number of racism related incidents that have been reported at the university or it's campus

- Details of the type of incident if possible (i.e. verbal assault, physical attack)

- The date each incident occurred

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - INFORMATION REQUEST
 
Thank you for your request for information received on the 24^th December
2016. 
 
In response to your request I can confirm that between the years 2013 and
2016 a total of 5 incidents were reported.
 
The University holds details of these incidents and dates however it is
considered that owing to the small number of individuals involved and the
potential for the identification of individuals, we are not able to
provide you with specific detail for each case as an exemption would
apply.  
 
Section 40(2) - Personal Information
 
Section 40(2) is an absolute class exemption and the University is not
required to consider the public interest in disclosure.
 
The Data Protection Act 1998 covers processing of personal data about a
living individual. Personal data means data which relate to a living
individual who can be identified (a) from those data, or
(b) from those data and other information which is in the possession of,
or is likely to come into the possession of, the data controller or any
other person in respect of the individual.
 
In respect of your request for information regarding this part of your
request in accordance with section 17 of the Freedom of Information Act
2000 this letter acts as a Refusal Notice.
