Questions regarding your automated announcements.
Dear TransPennine Trains Limited,
Dear sir or madam.
Under the FOI Act could i please request copies of the sound files of your old automated announcements:
• 1. I would like copies of your old onboard automated announcements (Angie Hunte and Kath Donald) used from around 2006 to around 2018.
• 2. I would like copies of your old station automated announcements (Rob Radnall from the Siemens system) used from around 2006 to around 2018.
I am aware that you have already released all of your current onboard announcements (Neil Rudd and Caroline Josephs) sound files and your are unable to release your current station announcements (Anne Jermy from the Worldline system) sound files. But what i am particularly after is these old files from the old systems that are no longer used. I believe you should be able to release these. Hopefully you have kept these as you only replaced them around six years ago.
I also have the following questions:
• 3. Back around 2006 you had an article on your website about your new automated announcements. It talked about staff members (Kath Donald and Angie Hunte and Rob Radnall) who had won an internal competition (or something like that) to become the new voices of the stations and trains. So it was an article about the new automated announcements and the voices used. I wanted to request a copy of this article please. I checked the internet archives and very little this far back has been saved as it was from around 2006 i think. But i presume TPE has an archive of old website articles. Would you be able to kindly attach this old website article please.
• 4. I am aware your Class 185 trains use an Axion (SAViewCom) system for the PIS (Passenger Information System) onboard and have used this from when the trains were first built. However a few years back you installed a new KeTech system. What i am trying to find out is whether the KeTech system has actually replaced the original Axion (SAViewCom) system or if the KeTech system is a separate PIS system that works independently. I notice that the KeTech system installation also included new screens but the old screens are still there too. So i am just simply trying to find out whether the PIS (Passenger Information System) on the Class 185 was completely changed or if it is just a new supplementary system with the old system still in place too.
Thank you very much and i really appreciate any help regarding to my questions.
Yours faithfully,
Arthur Harris
