Questions on fencing/enclosure of parts of the aldershot military land

E Panter made this Freedom of Information request to Defence Infrastructure Organisation

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Defence Infrastructure Organisation,

I have become aware of a recent FOIA request relating to fencing planned on the Aldershot Military Lands that DIO responded to and that was published on www.whatdotheyknow.com – your reference FOI2017/10672.

Reviewing this FOIA request has prompted a number of questions to me (and I imagine to the person who raised the original request!) – please could you therefore provide the following information:

- The full unredacted minutes (minus any names but including positions of each attendee) of the Midenhurst Military Liaison Meeting, 14:00 hours Tuesday 7th February 2017, Conference Room, DCLPA, Deepcut
- The full unredacted minutes (minus any names but including positions of each attendee) of the Midenhurst Military Liaison Meeting, 14:00 hours Tuesday 4th April 2017, Conference Room, DCLPA, Deepcut
- The full unredacted minutes (minus any names but including positions of each attendee) of the Midenhurst Military Liaison Meeting, 14:00 hours Tuesday 6th June 2017, Conference Room, DCLPA, Deepcut
- The full unredacted minutes (minus any names but including positions of each attendee) of the Midenhurst Military Liaison Meeting, 14:00 hours Tuesday 8th August 2017, Conference Room, DCLPA, Deepcut
- The full unredacted minutes (minus any names but including positions of each attendee) of the Midenhurst Military Liaison Meeting, 14:00 hours Tuesday 26th September 2017, Conference Room, DCLPA, Deepcut
- Any unredacted minutes of the Midenhurst Military Liaison committee that has happened since September (i.e. the October, November and December meetings)
- The photo and map attached to the email to Rushmoor planning sent by DIO (Estates Surveyor DIO SD Training SE) on the 15th September 2017, subject line Proposed fencing Bourley and Long Valley
- The name of the contractor who will be completing each fence/enclosure for DIO mentioned in FOIA request response FOI2017/10672
- The cost of each proposed fence/enclosure, broken down into the cost to DIO/MoD and any funding received or to be received from other parties (e.g. housing developer). For the purposes of this request, in this context funding means either monetary contribution or the detaila and estimated value of any material contribution (e.g. manpower, fencing supplies, etc)
- What is the proposed level of public access to the enclosed land for a) the land recently enclosed in Deepcut b) the land proposed to be enclosed in the Bourley and Long Valley Fencing Proposal?
- Any proposed restrictions on who can make us of each gate planned for the Bourley and Long Valley Fencing proposal (e.g free access to the public, locked at specified times, access for troops only)

Yours faithfully,

E Panter

DIO Sec-Parli (MULTIUSER),

Dear DIO Sec-Parli (MULTIUSER),

Has there been any progress on this request? This request has been handled in a manner that is well outside of the ICO guidance.

Yours sincerely,

E Panter

Dear E Panter,

I am very sorry that your request is taking longer than expected to complete.

The secretariat team currently has a backlog of work. The team is usually made up of 6 desk officers but currently only 1 is available.

Please be assured that your FOI response is top of the FOI priority list to respond to and is being worked on daily.

Thank you for your patience.

Yours sincerely,
DIO Secretariat.

Dear DIO Sec-Parli (MULTIUSER),

Ok - thank you for the update - is there an ETA? I do note that the majority of the request is for unredacted minutes - these were provided in redacted form to another FOI respondent on the WhatDoTheyKnow site - surely this is a quick request?

Please note there is a typo in the final bullet in the list of items - "Any proposed restrictions on who can make us of each gate planned for the Bourley and Long Valley Fencing proposal (e.g free access to the public, locked at specified times, access for troops only)" - this should read "make use of each gate" rather than "make us of each gate".

Yours sincerely,

E Panter

Dear DIO Sec-Parli (MULTIUSER),

This is getting ridiculous now. What is the ETA on this request - it's now more than two months late!

Yours sincerely,

E Panter
