Dear Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service,
My enquiry is about discretions which may be exercised by the Pension Scheme Manager, or his/her appointed person(s), in regard to Firefighter pensions.

1a) Is there a policy document which details scheme manager discretions?

1b) If the answer at 1a) is yes then can you provide that policy document?

1c) If the answer at 1a) is no then can you provide reasons for there not being such a document?

2a) Is there a policy document covering retirements under Rule B7(5A) of the FPS 1992?

2b) If the answer at 2a) is yes then can you provide that policy document?

2c) If the answer at 2a) is no then can you provide reasons for there not being such a document?

3a) Is there a policy document covering the IQMP referral process?

3b) If the answer at 3a) is yes then can you provide that policy document?

3c) If the answer at 3a) is no then can you provide reasons for there not being such a policy document?

4a) If these questions have highlighted that policy documents do not exist for any or all of the subjects raised, in this FOI request, will this matter be rectified?

4b) If the answer at 4a) is yes then in what timeframe will this work be completed?
