Question about Child Benefit in Cases of 50/50 parenting

We're waiting for Mr Chapman to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear HM Revenue and Customs,

I am enquiring about whether there has ever been a case where Child Benefit has been paid to the mother and father of a single child on alternate weeks? In my case, parenting is truly split 50/50, with both parents having equal responsibility. So this would seem to be ideal.

Yours faithfully,

Mr Chapman

Thank you for your communication of 19th August which has been passed to
HMRC's Freedom of Information Team.

We have allocated the above reference which you should quote if you need
