Dear Information Access Team,

I am writing with respect to why Crown Prosecution Service have delayed in forwarding information to me which I requested.

CPS have not replied to my FOI request Query re: Assange case promptly, as normally required by law.

Please reply to my request as soon as possible? If I don't hear back from the CPS, I will refer the request to the Information Commissioner.

To clarify:

Regarding my amended request, I am seeking *all documents* not just emails.

With respect to the definition of the word "handling", I amended the request on June 22, 2020 . I will copy and paste my clarification below.

I am writing regarding your Freedom of Information (FOI) request, reference 9213.

The CPS are required to conduct a public interest test in relation to this request. The public interest test is required because some of the information you have requested may engage section 30 (Investigations and Proceedings conducted by public authorities) of the FOI Act.

Under section 10(3) of the FOI Act we are entitled to extend the time limit for FOI requests, where the public interest has to be considered, by a reasonable period; the ICO determine a reasonable period for complex requests such as this to be an extra 20 working days.

We hope to issue a substantive response to your FOI request as soon as possible, and in any event within 20 working days of this email. This will be by the latest 22 September 2020.

If the public interest is determined to be in favour of withholding information under this exemption then we will provide a full explanation of why the exemption is engaged and the public interest factors taken into consideration.
