Dear Sir/Madam

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 – INFORMATION REQUEST

Your request has now been considered and the information requested is attached.

Please note The 2012 Act Part 2 (58) places a responsibility on the Secretary of State, and not this Council, to take steps to protect the public from disease or dangers to health, including ionising and non-ionising radiation. In this respect the government has commissioned research into the potential health issues associated with mobile phone equipment, links to which are shown below. Provided that an operator has obtained the appropriate certification then as a Planning authority we are required to accept this as evidence that the equipment is appropriate in terms of any perceived health risk.
