Queens Park Healthy Neighbourhood consultation

David Walton made this Freedom of Information request to Brent Borough Council Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

Waiting for an internal review by Brent Borough Council of their handling of this request.

Dear Brent Borough Council,

Regarding Queens Park Healthy Neighbourhood consultation 2023 consultant MPST.

What evidence base does Brent use to make the highly discretionary decision that Queens Park Conservation areas car owner population de-growth zone is the optimal and best value place to improve health outcomes in Brent by this particular focus of precious and limited public health funds?

Across the electrified rail tracks south, Brent has South Kilburn car-free housing (and few car owners) tall buildings zone since 2019 (a regeneration of population growth since 2001). A car-free towers tall buildings zone with no tall building zone masterplan in place as yet, so diminished is what is statutory required. South Kilburn, the market builds car-free housing, the market builds lucrative underground car parks underneath these blocks, vehicle roads to double in this car-free housing zone 1,200 metres from the GLA's Central London boundary.

Did Brent where to MPST consult decision makers ever considered combining the QP car-owner (underground car parks renter market) and the SK car-free housing towers areas together as one consultation and as one healthy neighbourhood, especially given that one so clearly influences the other? Is it equitable and fair discretionary policy to divert through traffic all through a car-free housing zone where population density is to be massively increased by 2040?

Yours faithfully,

David Walton

Dear Brent Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Brent Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Queens Park Healthy Neighbourhood consultation'.

Can you please answer fully the actual request I made.

Brent promotes active travel, consults and designs through vehicle access reductions for its car owner lowest population density conservation areas. But how does Brent reduce through vehicle access by design in its car-free housing tall building zones, where active travel living is forced. Should more and more Queens Park vehicles be diverted by design through car-free tall building active traffic zone 45 hectares South Kilburn?

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/q...

Yours faithfully,

David Walton
