Quality of Government Consultations

Dear Cabinet Office,

Please would you list the members of the Secondary Legislation Monitoring Board that Oliver Dowden told the Lord's Secondary Legislation Scrutiny Committee, on Tuesday 20th March 2018, would report to him and David Lidington.

How is the standard of a Public Consultation measured?

Was the POLICY LAB or BEHAVIOURAL INSIGHTS TEAM, that Mr.Dowden referred to, consulted by the Department for Work and Pensions on engaging with those communities that will be affected by SI number 1279, the Child Support (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2018 - specifically women owed 'historical' child maintenance arrears - that is, arrears arising from the 1993, 2003 and 2012 'schemes', under the Child Support Agency, that has not be transfered to the Child Maintenance Service.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Cabinet Office,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Cabinet Office's handling of my FOI request 'Quality of Government Consultations'.

The POLICY LAB and BEHAVIOURAL INSIGHTS TEAM are both situated within the Cabinet Office. Therefore, you should be able to tell me whether or not your staff were consulted by the Department for Work and Pensions on engaging with those communities that will be affected by SI number 1279, the Child Support (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2018.

A simple YES/NO answer will suffice.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/q...

Yours faithfully,

Jo Archer
