Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Hillingdon Borough Council should have responded by now (details). The person who made the request can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Andrew Bell, 

I am writing in response to your request for information below. Apologies
for the delay in this information reaching you. 

 

1. Your quality assurance process and procedure in relation to any
Application, Report or Statement written by an employee of your Children’s
Social Care Department that is subsequently filed to the Court on behalf
of the Local Authority

1. The Social Worker completes the report or statement at least a few days
before the court-ordered deadline.

2. The document is then sent to the Social Worker's manager who will
suggest any changes by way of tracked changes. Any proposed changes must
then be subsequently accepted by the Social Worker. 

3. Next, the document is sent to the relevant Head of Service to undertake
another quality assurance check. Any proposed changes will be, as per the
previous step, sent by tracked changes and the Social Worker must accept
any amendments if they are to be kept.

4. Once the document has been through these checks, it will be sent to
Legal Services, who will file the document with court and, if directed,
serve on any relevant parties.
