Dear Derbyshire County Council,

Please provide the following:

1. The number of qualified social workers supplied through recruitment agencies, analysed by Children and Adult services, in January 2012 to date

2. Information on the number of in-house residential units, day care centres and supported living settings, currently using agency care/support workers, their locations, also analysed by Children's and Adult services

3. Which of questions 2 are expected to close during 2012

4. An organogram showing the Social Services Departments within the Council including the names of people within the structure

5. The number of Form F assessments that have been completed since January 2012 to date, what number were done by the authority and what number went out to external providers

6. The number of temporary Occupational Therapists you have utilised through agencies in 2012 and how many are currently engaged

Please see below answers to the queries you raised:

 

In respect of the Adult Care Services Department:

 

1. 9 social workers have been used from January 2012 to June 2012.

 

2. Total 14 split as follows:  Amber Valley 3, Bolsover 3, Derbyshire
Dales 1, Erewash 6, South Derbyshire 1

 

3. No plans are in place to close any establishments during 2012

 

4. Please see attached structure chart.

 

5. These are Fostering forms, not used by Adult Care

 

6. 3 OT's utilised during 2012 of which 1 is currently engaged

 

Please see below response for the Children and Younger Adults Department
(CAYA):

 

1.            In total CAYA have used 12 agency social workers between
January 12 and July 12, all for varying lengths time.

2.            3 children's homes have used agency workers between January
12 and July 12, all for varying lengths time.  One in North East
Derbyshire, one in High Peak and one in  Chesterfield.

3.            For CAYA, there are no plans to close services in these
areas in 2012.

4.            Please see attached.

5.            21 all in county no externals

6.            The Council currently have 1 occupational therapist.
