Dear Blackpool Borough Council,

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I am writing to respectfully request the following information:

Can you please confirm the following with regard to 'The Foyer' in Chapel Street, Blackpool:

i) The dates you have been in contact with Great Places Housing Group with regard to the purchase of the above mentioned property.
ii) Has Blackpool Council purchased the above mentioned property.
If so, when did this transaction take place and what was the financial cost.
iii) If the above question is yes, has the property been transferred to Blackpool Housing Company Limited.
If so, when did this transaction take place and what was the financial cost.
iv) If the property has not been purchased by Blackpool Council/Blackpool Housing Company Limited, are you in meaningful discussions with Great Places Housing Group and/or other organisations with regard to the purchase of the property and/or other possible outcomes for the property.

I am writing to request an internal review of Blackpool Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Purchase of 'The Foyer' and discussions'.

Can you please confirm when you set up the wholly owned company for residential regeneration called Blackpool Housing Company Limited.

The Foyer was purchased by Blackpool Housing Company Limited from Great Places in March 2016, can you please confirm the following:

i) The total financial cost for this purchase
ii) How was this cost met i.e. payment in full, an agreed financial arrangement, etc
iii) Has any payments been met by Blackpool Council at any stage since the the closure of 'The Foyer' in October 2014

I note that in your internal review submission you now ask for information which was not part of the original request (our ref: 180635). Whilst we acknowledge that this may be related in some way to that original request, the internal review is not the appropriate route to submit your new questions.

Therefore, we have closed your original request and we have logged the email below as a new request with the reference number 180707.

Blackpool Housing Company is required to respond to FOI requests as a wholly-owned company of a public authority. But to assist, we will liaise with them on your behalf and support them in collating a response.
