Dear South Ayrshire Council,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of South Ayrshire Council's handling of my FOI request 'Pupil Standardised Data 2010-2018 - From CEM, University of Durham (now Cambridge)'.
In a previous FOI request FOI/2019/9450, SAC confirmed that they held the requested PIPs and InCAS data. Can you provide further information to confirm why the data is no longer held by SAC. Please could you provide:
- data retention policy regarding pupil standardised assessment data
- details on when the data was destroyed
- confirmation that parents/pupils can no longer obtain copies of their standardised assessment data results
- confirmation that parents/pupils have been informed that personal data relating to their academic achievement has been destroyed by SAC
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/p...
Yours faithfully,
G E Paterson

Good morning,
I refer to your email seeking an Internal Review of the Council's handling of your information request, allocated FOI/2023/13804, in that the Council has indicated that it does not hold the data you have requested.
I can see from your email that you requested this data in 2019, under FOI/2019/9450. To support my Review I would appreciate if you could please confirm that you are seeking a further copy of the data that was provided to you in 2019. Also, if it is the case that you are seeking additional information from that already provided to you, it would be very helpful if you could provide me with a copy of the response from 2019, which the FOI team no longer holds as it is out-with our 3 year retention period.
I look forward to receiving this additional clarification to allow me to progress your request further.
Regards
Deborah

Dear FOI,
