Punishments served to Players and Managers for Racist and derogatory behaviour in the 2018/2019 Barclays Premier League season.

Sport England did not have the information requested.

Dear Sport England,

I would like to make the following request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000:

I would like to find out the different punishments served to any Player and Manager for any racist behaviour they have displayed in the 2018/2019 season of the Barclays Premier League.

I would also like to receive the punishments served out to players and managers, who have displayed other offensive behaviour, such as acts of violence, derogatory remarks to any other players, or unsportsmanlike conduct in order to compare how the two circumstances are treated. This will also be within the 2018/2019 season of the Barclays Premier League.

I understand that under the Act I am entitled to a response within 20 working days of your receipt of this request. Therefore I anticipate a response by 12/11/2019. Some parts of the request may be easier to answer than others. Should this be the case, I request that you release information as soon as possible.

If my request is denied in whole or in part, I ask that you justify all deletions by reference to specific exemptions of the Act. I will also expect you to release all non-exempt material. I reserve the right to appeal your decision to withhold any information or to charge excessive fees.

I would prefer to receive the information electronically.

If you require any clarification, please contact me in accordance with your duty under Section 16 to provide advice and assistance if you find any aspect of this FOI request problematic.

Please acknowledge receipt of this request by email. I look forward to receiving the information in the near future.

Kind regards,

Papa Kuranchie.
