Publication of FOI/16/01256
Dear Scottish Government,
https://www.gov.scot/binaries/content/do...
FOI/16/01256
There is no publicly available record of the above FOI which has caused the veracity of your response to be questioned.
The request was:
Can you supply details of requests from the Scottish Govemment to HMRC for information in respect of Government Expenditure and Revenue Scotland where that information has been refused by HMRC?
The response from yourselves was:
"HMRC have not refused requests from the Scottish Government for information relating to Government Expenditure & Revenue Scotland. While the Scottish Government makes use of a range of data relating to tax in Scotland produced by HMRC, it should be noted that, under current legislation, HIMRC is unable to share individual level taxpayer information with the Scottish Government due to taxpayer confidentially requirements. As such the Scottish Government has not requested such data for the production of Government Expenditure &
Revenue Scotland."
Can you confirm that this was your response or simply publish your response here or on a public form.
Yours faithfully,
Neil Lovatt
