Publication of expense receipts

The request was refused by Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority.

Dear Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority,

Please publish on the IPSA website, receipts for all expenses
claimed by Nick Clegg MP, whether refused or accepted, from
when IPSA took over responsibility for paying claims.

Should the time taken (and hence expense) of this request exceed the limit, please publish as many receipts are possible, whilst not exceeding the amount of time that it would take.

Yours faithfully,

Paul Smith

Dear FOI,

I do not feel you properly addressed this FOI request. I asked for the publication of receipts associated with Mr Mitchell's claims, which you seem to have ignored. I am therefore asking for an internal review.

To clarify - I am now asking you to publish the scanned receipts for those of Mr Mitchell's claims that you have published some details of on your website.

Yours sincerely,

Paul Smith

Thanks. I'll send this to the ICO for review. We're retracing the steps we took a few years ago, when we force the House to publish receipts. The same will happen to IPSA too - the courts have already made this ruling.

For arguments to the ICO re Information vs Documents, it's worth reading their relevant "Line to take" document:
