Public Spaces Protection Order - Dog Controls
Dear Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council,
I am interested in understanding the effectiveness of public spaces protection orders for dog control. With this in mind, if you hold the information can you please disclose to me any of the following:
- an effectiveness review of the public spaces protection order for dog control,
- the number of complaints received per year in relation to dogs before the control,
- the number of complaints received per year in relation to dogs in public spaces after the control.
If you do not hold the requested information, please provide advice on how I can clarify my request so that I can access information you hold that is of interest to me.

No effectiveness review of the public spaces protection order for dog
control has been conducted.
Complaint data is not held for longer than 7 years so there are no figures
on complaints held before the first introduction on the PSPO in October
2016.
