Public sector equality duty and disabled persons in licenced premises.

The request was successful.

Dear Wakefield City Council,

1. What measures are being taken under the public sector equality duty to eliminate unlawful discrimination against disabled persons, who are banned from licenced premises (or otherwise discriminated against) due to the effects of their physical or mental disabliities.

2. What is the procedure to request a review of Wakefield Council's Statement of licensing policy? I am asking this as the published version contains an out of date reference to the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, which has now been replaced by the Equality Act 2010.

Yours faithfully,

Keith Fernie
