The request was successful.

Dear National Policing Improvement Agency,

1. Is the ACPO publication "Public Order Manual of Tactical Operations and Related Matters" a current guidance document in use by the UK police? I would expect the NPIA might hold lists of current guidance.

2. Could you please release a copy of the latest revision of: "Public Order Manual of Tactical Operations and Related Matters".

3. While I would like aspects parts 1 and 2 of my request prioritised, I would also like to request as far as possible within the cost limits imposed by the FOI Act to request details of any previous revisions of the "Public Order Manual of Tactical Operations and Related Matters" document and/or amendments made to it over time.

Regards,

NPIA FOI Team,

Dear Mr Taylor,

In our previous response we estimated that that it would take an additional 10 days to reach a decision on where the balance of the public interest lay in releasing the information requested. The date given for a response to be provided by was the 28th September. However, we are still in consultation with third parties and therefore estimate that we will require a further 10 days. A response to be provided by the 12th October 2011.
