Public information campaigns on EU Directive 2004/18/EC

The request was successful.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions

My question refers to EU Directive 2004/38/EC on the right of citizens of the European Union and their family member to move and reside freely within the territory of the member states of the European Union, as noted here :
http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexU...

Article 34 of the Directive contains the following wording :
'Member States shall disseminate information concerning the rights and obligations of Union citizens and their family members on the subjects covered by this Directive, particularly by means of awareness-raising campaigns conducted through national and local media and other means of communication.'

Please release to me the steps the government has taken to fulfil its obligation to disseminate information about and publicise this directive to British citizens, in terms of public information campaigns regarding free movement in Europe. (A broad outline of the various campaigns run to raise awareness of this Directive is sufficient).

If this question is better directed towards another government department, please let me know who is responsible for public information of this nature so I can direct the question towards them.
