Dear Applicant,

We’re writing regarding your information request which was logged under the
above reference number.

Having referred your request to the relevant council service area(s), we require
further information in order to identify and locate the information you have
requested. Therefore, we would like to seek clarification from you as specified
below:

Please can you clarify the dates ranges for question 1: How much has been spent
in total on the following for the period 1st July 2024 till 1st July 2024

The request asks about the cost of education prosecutions and sendist appeals.
Please clarify if you are requesting legal costs only, or should this also
include the costs of the Education Welfare Service and SEND teams in connection
with those prosecutions? 

In accordance with Section 1 (3) of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000,
where a public authority asks for further information or clarification to enable
the authority to respond to a request, the 20 working day timeframe in which we
aim to respond shall not commence until a satisfactory reply is received. If a
reasonable reply is not received within 2 months of this notice, we will close
your request.

When you reply to our emails they are sent to our Case Management System,
Verint.

Verint has some limitations relating to attachments and formatting so can we
please ask that you consider the following when you respond.

• Our inbox cannot accept emails as attachments to an email. Please instead
re-send/forward these to us with the current FOI/EIR reference number in the
subject field if this differs to your previous email.

• We cannot view coloured or highlighted text and can only view text in black
and white format. If you are answering a question or commenting, please make it
clear to us which question this relates to.

• We cannot view tables or spreadsheets that are inserted into the body of the
email. They lose their formatting and become unreadable. Please attach these to
the email response instead.
