Public funding for the monarchy, 2000-2025
To whom it may concern,
I am writing to request, under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, that you please provide the following information regarding the total public funding provided to the British royal family for each financial year from 2000/2001 to 2024/2025 inclusive:
1. The total public expenditure on the monarchy in nominal terms (i.e. the actual amount spent in that financial year), in millions of pounds sterling.
2. The total public expenditure on the monarchy adjusted for inflation to the current year (using the most appropriate inflation index), in millions of pounds sterling. Please specify the inflation index used for this adjustment.
Please provide these data in a CSV file to make it easier to analyse them.
Thank you very much for your time and help.
Yours sincerely,
Leo Pritchard
