Public Access Defibrillator Locations

The request was successful.

Robert Whittaker

Dear West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust,

I would be grateful if you could supply me with a list of the publicly accessible automated external defibrillators (AEDs) that you are aware of in your area. (According to http://www.wmas.nhs.uk/Pages/How-To-Mend... you have a list of over 2400, though I appreciate not all of those may be generally accessible to the public.) For each publicly accessible unit, I would particularly like to know a location description / address, postcode, location coordinates (if known), reference number, and owner/operator. I do NOT wish to know any access codes required to open the cabinets. I have a strong preference for receiving this information in a re-usable electronic format, e.g. a CSV file (preferred) or an Excel spreadsheet.

I see that the East of England Ambulance Service publicises their own list on their website at http://www.eastamb.nhs.uk/Get-involved/C... and http://www.eastamb.nhs.uk/Get%20involved... . Perhaps you might consider doing something similar, then an up-to-date list will be available to everyone.

Yours faithfully,

Robert Whittaker.

Please see the attached letter in respect of your recent request for information under the Freedom of Information Act.

We have also attached a quick survey and we were wondering if we could spare a few moments of your time to complete and return to either myself or the Head of Information Governance [email address] to help us improve the service we currently provide.

Kind Regards
