Public access /coastline
I would like to submit the following questions under the Freedom Of Information Act to Brighton and Hove City Council:-
1.Is it legal, or within the spirit of the law, to block off the beach or seafront paths for the benefit of a private Company (e.g.i360Ltd)?
2.Has the Council taken into account national legislation and guidelines concerning public access around the coast of Brighton and Hove when considering planning applications and developments?
Warning: This message has not yet been sent for an unknown reason.
The i360 has planning permission. All of the documents including the detailed officer report and decision notice are available to view on the B&HCC website. They are already public documents.
A link is attached for your convenience http://ww3.brighton-hove.gov.uk/index.cf... the planning application reference number which you can put into the search bar is BH2006/02369. The content of the officer report covers the key issues in relation to planning matters. Including issues in relation to public access.
