PSL - Agency Recruitment Spends for the last year to date.

The request was successful.

Dear Scottish Prison Service,

Could you please tell me if you have a PSL in place for all recruitment and if so what would need to be done to apply to be registered onto this PSL.

If there is no PSL what would be the process to follow?

Could you also provide me with a list of all agencies you use for recruitment as well as the spend for all recruitment between September 1st 2017 to date.

If you could separate what the spend was for that would be great. For example: Education, Catering, Prison Officers etc...

Yours faithfully,

Kayleigh Clark

Dear Ms Clark,

Thank you for your request which was received on 14 September 2018 under
the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) for:

Could you please tell me if you have a PSL in place for all recruitment

In order to identify and locate the information that you have asked for we
need some further information from you.  In particular we would seek
clarification on the acronym “PSL” that you have used in your request.  I
am unable to provide an appropriate response to your information request
until this clarification is received.

The SPS would normally respond in compliance with FOISA within 20 working
days.  The general entitlement of the Act however states that the
authority is not obliged to give the requested information until further
clarification is received.

When we receive this further information from you we will be able to
respond to your request, in accordance with FOISA, within 20 working days
of when that information is received.

Kind regards,

Dear Stuart,

Many thanks for your response. The term used for "PSL" is in relation to a preferred supplier list for recruitment.

I hope this clarifies my request for you. Many thanks in advance.

Yours sincerely,
Kayleigh Clark
