Dear FOI Requests,
Is the minister aware that the Post Office in Coventry's Corporation Street is due to close on 12th June 2014, the shop is situated inside the Heart of England Co-operative store in the city centre?
Is this example the Governments vision for the future of the Post Office network?
Has a minister visited Heart of England Co-operative store in Coventry city centre?
Has a minister met with Heart of England Co-operative over this closure?
Yours sincerely,
Richard Peterson.
Dear Mr Peterson
Please see the attached letter regarding your enquiry of 25 April 2014.

Dear FOI Requests,
Would you please answer my request, a yes or no will suffice.
Has a minister met with Heart of England Co-operative over this closure?
Has a minister visited Heart of England Co-operative store in Coventry city centre?
It would appear a Post Office will get a visit from a Minister when there is a celebration, but not when things are going wrong. Find below Jo Swinson celebration visits.
Postal Affairs Minister Jo Swinson today visited Bishop’s Hull Post Office in Taunton, Somerset, to celebrate the Post Office reaching 500 branch conversions as part of its programme to modernise the Post Office network.
Postal Affairs Minister Jo Swinson today visits Uddingston Post Office to mark the milestone of 1,000 branch modernisations in the Network Transformation scheme.
Yours sincerely,
Richard Peterson.
Dear FOI Requests,
Could I also ask, you state you have asked Post Office and they have assured you this is a temporary closure, would it be possible for you to ask Post Office Ltd what is the total number of temporary closed Post Offices, or is this just a one off.
Yours sincerely,
Richard Peterson.
Dear Mr Peterson,
Thank you for your e-mail of 02 May 2014.
The Government, as shareholder, does not play a role in the operation of the network, which is the responsibility of Post Office Ltd. The question you have asked is an operational matter and you should direct your query to Post Office Ltd. We contacted Post Office Ltd regarding Coventry's Corporation Street branch to assist with your enquiry. Any future operational enquiries should be sent directly to Post Office Ltd.
We hope to respond to your e-mail of 01 May 2014 next week.
Yours sincerely

Dear FOI Requests,
It has been brought to my notice that you and Post Office Ltd (POL) have been having talks with the National Federation of SubPostmasters (NFSP),I understand that the NFSP would like to be put on the payroll of POL at the expense of the taxpayer. I have been told this deal will be worth millions of pounds to the NFSP. The name of the deal is a Memorandum of Understanding.
Could you let me see all communications you have had with the NFSP and POL regarding this Memorandum of Understanding.
Yours sincerely,
Richard Peterson.
