£1.7m sport and community development in Bolton - 2005/2004

The request was successful.

Christopher Banks

Dear Sport England,

As stated in the following article from the 19th October 2004

"Funded jointly by East Bolton Regeneration and Sport England – which contributed £933,022 through the Active England programme – the centre will be managed by Bolton Council. "

http://www.healthclubmanagement.co.uk/he...

Sport England authorized the release of funds for construction of a sporting facility on land that was protected under a charity covenant that prohibited any buildings to be built upon charity land. Please provide the letter of consent and minutes from the trustees for the charity 'Leverhulme Park' 521039 in which you had been granted authorization to release funds for construction.

As the matter stands, you are involved in the illegal construction of a facility in which the land owner did not grant permission.

Yours faithfully,

Christopher Banks
