£1.5 million in payments to the Liverpool Echo from the Liverpool council in one year?

Dear Liverpool City Council,

Please confirm that the 'Liverpool city council 'has paid the Liverpool Echo (Reach PLC) over £1.5 million in payments in just one year, was these payments from the ratepayers of Liverpool?

Liam Thorp the echo reporter, has pushed this under the carpet, no wonder Joe Anderson loved having him around.
