We have considered your request and enclose the following information - 
 
1. How many registered Prus are there at the authority?
1 - Learning Centre, Glanynant
 
2. What is the age range covered by the Pru(s)?
5-16 age range

8 Dual Registered, 20 Sole Registered
 
5. What is the total cost to the authority of PRU type provision? If
possible, please provide information for each unit and total spend.
The budget for 17-18 was £343,046 but the estimated spend for the year is
£361,557.
 
6. What is the authority's policy regarding registration of learners at
PRUs: specifically, what are the criteria for sole registration at a pru
and in which curriculum year(s) does this happen.
We only have solely registered pupils at the PRU when
- a pupil has receive 2 permanent exclusions
- is a pupil coming into the LA late in Year 10 or Y11 with a range of
needs or where they have previously been placed in an EOTAS provision from
the sending LA
 
7. Please confirm if PRUs are subject to national categorisation and if so
what are the current categorisations for each unit?
It has been categorised by the consortium Challenge Adviser. They are
Amber.
 
8. Please provide statistics detailing the number of learners who were re-
integrated back to mainstream education from a PRU for the last three
years for which this data is available
Year 2014-2015, 3 pupils returned fulltime to mainstream
Year 2015-2016, 2 pupils returned fulltime to mainstream
Year 2016- 2017, 4 pupils returned fulltime to mainstream
 
9. Are any learners placed in Pru’s in other local authorities? If so,
please provide totals of learners for the last three years for which you
hold data.
None
 
10.  How many learners of mainstream statutory age, 4-16, does the
authority to be perceived to be being taught in the Educated Other than At
