Dear Mr Barnes

We write further to your recent Freedom of Information request.  The
Council’s response is as follows.

In relation the Hoylake Golf Resort there have not been any specific
communications of the nature outlined in your question.

Designated Green Belt land within Wirral is subject to Policy GB2 of the
Council's Adopted Unitary Development Plan which affords protection under
the terms of the policy.

Reports to the Council's Cabinet on the Golf Resort have included a
section on Planning Implications which outline to Members the designations
in the Council's Development Plan applicable to the site, and the national
and local planning policy implications of the Green Belt designation in
particular.

With regard to the question citing the Aarhus Convention, all regulations,
including those of the Aarhus Convention, will be fully adhered to. It is
planned to conduct additional public consultation in excess of statutory
requirements and following best practice.

Yours sincerely

Dear InfoMgr, FinDMT,
It is quite clearly arguable that Wirral Council planning dept /dept of regeneration and Phillip Davies leader of the Council , are NOT following the most important aspects of the Aarhus Convention in particular the 5 pillars that its founded on. I would politely suggest that all Officers concerned including Mr Phil Davies are assisted by workshops and patient mentoring the absolute crucial importance of these legal guidelines , and how to use this Convention as a real tool of fairness , transparency democracy human rights and healthy environmental sustainability, for us and future generations.

Yours sincerely,

Derick Barnes
