I would be most grateful if you would provide me, under the Freedom of Information Act, details in respect to the contract below.

Provision of Public Health Services in Primary Care

The details we require are:

• Suppliers who applied for inclusion on each framework/contract and were successful & not successful at the PQQ & ITT stages*
• Contract values of each framework/contract (& any sub lots), year to date
• Start date & duration of framework
• Is there an extension clause in the framework(s)/contract(s) and, if so, the duration of the extension?
• Has a decision been made yet on whether the framework(s)/contract(s) are being either extended or renewed?
• Who is the senior officer (outside of procurement) responsible for this contract?

For clarity, the details of the successful and unsuccessful suppliers are kept in the strictest confidence. These details are used only to contact and support suppliers regarding their bidding activity for the relevant contracts.

Dear Emily Blunt,

 

I refer to your recent request for information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000.  I can confirm that the Council does hold this
information, as detailed below.

 

The details we require are:

 

• Suppliers who applied for inclusion on each framework/contract and were
successful & not successful at the PQQ & ITT stages* -  Whilst the Council
holds this information, The Council is not able to release this this
information under Section 43 (Commercial Interests) of the Freedom of
Information Act as it has been deemed to be commercially sensitive and
consent has not been given by suppliers to release it.

 

• Contract values of each framework/contract (& any sub lots), year to
date

• Start date & duration of framework

The contract for Public Health Services in Primary Care to be delivered by
Pharmacies in Sunderland commenced on 01 December 2017 for a period of 3
years.  Services are provided on a tariff basis, as described in the
attached specifications.

 

Overall expenditure between 01 April 2018 and January 2019 is as follows:

Stop smoking Services:                           £30,701

Nicotine Replacement Therapy:            £122,361

Pharmacy Sexual Health:                        £29,413

Supervised Consumption:                      £212,570

Pharmacy Harm Reduction:                    £10,995

Healthy Start Vitamins:                             £271

 

The contract for Public Health Services in Primary Care to be delivered by
General Practices in Sunderland commenced on 01 December 2017 for a period
of 3 years.  Services are provided on a tariff basis, as described in the
attached specifications.

 

Overall expenditure between 01 April 2018 and January 2019 is as follows:

NHS Health Checks:                                            
£108,272                                             

Stop Smoking Services:                                      £36,929

Long Acting Reversible Contraception:          £47,605

 

• Is there an extension clause in the framework(s)/contract(s) and, if so,
the duration of the extension? – Both the contracts for Public Health
Services in Primary Care to be delivered by Pharmacies and General
Practice have the potential to be extended for a further two 12 month
periods after the initial period of 3 years.

                                                                                                       

• Has a decision been made yet on whether the framework(s)/contract(s) are
being either extended or renewed? – No decision had been made yet on
whether the framework(s)/contract(s) are being either extended or renewed.

 

• Who is the senior officer (outside of procurement) responsible for this
contract? – Gillian Gibson – Director of Public Health.

 

I hope this is satisfactory.  If, however, you are dissatisfied with our
response to your request for information, you can ask for the decision to
be reviewed in reply to this letter, however any request for review must
be submitted within 40 days of the date of this freedom of information
response.  The review will be removed from the Directorate and coordinated
by the Council’s Information Governance Officer.   A request for review

You are of course entitled to apply to the Information Commissioner at any
time, although the Commissioner will not usually investigate until the
