Protocol
Dear The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust,
Please can you supply the written protocol from recommendation 4 in the ‘Publication of
the independent investigation report into the care and treatment of Yusuf’.
“A written protocol should be produced for the agreed pathway and criteria for referring on for further paediatric assessment from primary care.
This should include: the role of the children’s assessment unit and the role of the paediatric urgent care centre, how to access an urgent
paediatric opinion and clarity on direct access to the children’s ward.” If this work is still ongoing after several months, please can you provide the job titles of the working group or people involved in its development.
The South Yorkshire integrated care board have advised that your trust is undertaking the work in finalising the protocol that was recommended 6 months ago.
Yours faithfully,
John Anthony
