Protection and restoration of Gilroy Scrape

The request was successful.

Birgitta Kuhlmann-Muller

Dear Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council,

On 22 September 2017, the Local Wildlife Sites Partnership decided to designate an "Alert Status" for the area including the "scrape" field and Gilroy Nature Park in West Kirby. They drafted the boundary, using the one that Merseyside Environmental Advisory Service proposed in 2009.
Could you please let me know, whether this status is officially recognized and active now?
Could you please also let me know the outcome of talks with RSPB and the landowner re the restoration of the scrape scheduled for October.

Yours faithfully,

Birgitta Kuhlmann-Müller
