Prosecutors costs
Dear Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal (Scotland),
How much has been paid to ad hoc advocate deputies for the last five years?
Please break this down to the each deputy.
Yours faithfully,
Mr James

Dear Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal (Scotland),
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal (Scotland)'s handling of my FOI request 'Prosecutors costs'.
You have given no reason at all why the cost limit would be exceeded.
I suspect it would be a simple matter of checking a computer system.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/p...
Yours faithfully,
Mr James

Dear FOI Enquiries,
Thank you for your response. I just want to add that it beggars belief that you have disclosed that you spent £1.4 million of tax payers money to ad hoc lawyers, but you don’t seem to know who they are.
Can I ask a related question on this subject given the same people will then be looking at it?
Please provide a list of all advocates deputues appointed in the last 8 years, their names, the date of their commission, the recruitment process carried out, or if they were appointed by the law officers, the number of days they have served and the payments made to then for each year, the date they ceased appointment.
The crucial points are the date of appointment and their names. Thanks you
Yours sincerely,
Mr James

Your new FOI is now being considered.
We would be grateful for one point of clarification.
Your original request related to ad-hoc Advocate Deputes.
This request refers to "a list of all advocates deputues"
Are you seeking information on core Advocate Deputes; or as your original request only ad-hoc Advocate Deputes; or both?
When we receive this further information from you we will be able to respond to your request, in accordance with FOISA, within 20 working days of when we receive that information.
Thank you.

Dear FOI Enquiries,
Yes, my original was about ad hocs, but this new one is about all ads, including core deputies. Sorry for the confusion. Perhaps they should be treated as separate requests.
Yours sincerely,
Mr James
