Prosecutions regarding Westminster bridge public gathering 2020-04-16

Crown Prosecution Service did not have the information requested.

Dear Crown Prosecution Service,

I see that there has been a widely publicised public gathering on Westminster bridge in London on 2020-04-16. Publicity includes a tweet by the police themselves, here: https://twitter.com/metpoliceuk/status/1...

As this is clearly a gathering in public place with more than two people not from the same household in breach of section 7 of The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020, and as clearly the police were present to enforce The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020, I can only assume the police have acted in accordance with the regulations.

Can you confirm how many people the police have referred for prosecution as a result of this serious public health incident?

Yours faithfully,

Adrian Kennard
