Dear East Midlands Development Agency,

I understand that you may have agreed to sale land adjacent to Whitwell to Alkane Energy who have submitted an application to site a large anaerobic digester taking vegetable and other farm wastes.

As you may know this application is extremely controversial because of the odour and bio-aerosols that their proposed storage methods will create. The nearest property is just 80 metres from the site.

Can you please provide copies of all correspondence relating to any negotiation or approaches involving the sale of this land to Alkane.
