Proposal for review of space governance (space landscape review)

Dear Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy,

I would like to understand the background to the review of government space responsibilities (the “space landscape review”) and in particular which Government department / official (including job title) first proposed that such a review should take place.

Please provide me with any email correspondence(sent or received), meeting minutes or other records that relate to this matter. For the avoidance of doubt, I am interested in records that pre-date the formal commissioning of the review.

Yours faithfully,

Mel

Dear FOI Requests,
Thank you for your response. To clarify, I explicitly limited my request to the timeframe before the landscape review was formally commissioned- so I disagree with your refusal on the grounds that the review itself took many months and involved many people or organisations - as that is not relevant to my request.

To further hone the search, please focus on correspondence and meetings involving BEIS senior civil servants that had responsibility for space at the time the space landscape review was formally commissioned.

Given that your grounds for refusal are, at least in part, not relevant to my request, I look forward to your response by the original deadline of 12th July.

Yours sincerely,

Mel F
