Dear University of Liverpool,

I am writing to you to request disclosure of the proportion of students physically studying at your UK campus out of your overall 2020 enrolment.

Specifically, could you please provide:
- Your overall student enrolment at your UK campus (to the nearest one hundred) for your 2020 intake;
- The number of these that have opted to study remotely (to the nearest one hundred) for your 2020 intake;

Overall student recruitment information should now be available from your central admissions team. Estimates of students studying remotely should now be available based on those who have physically registered as being on campus vs those who have informed your that they will be studying remotely.

Thank you for your email requesting information from the University of
Liverpool.  From our preliminary assessment, we will not be able to answer
your request without further clarification.

 

In order to identify and locate the information you have asked for, could
you confirm whether this request refers to all student e.g.
undergraduates, postgraduates and PhD student, or just undergraduates.  Be
aware that the University is operating three admissions periods for
postgraduate taught students in the 20/21 academic year; a significant
number are commencing studies in January 2021 so we will not hold any
information on registrations at this point.

 

Once you have clarified your request, I will be able to begin to process
your request.  If I do not receive clarification within three months your
request will be considered to have lapsed. Please note that under section
1(3) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, a public authority need not
comply with a request unless any further information reasonably required
to locate the information is supplied.

Thank you for your email of 15 October requesting information from the
University of Liverpool.  Colleagues have provided the information
requested below.

 

I am writing to you to request disclosure of the proportion of students
physically studying at your UK campus out of your overall 2020 enrolment.
Specifically, could you please provide:

The information you have requested is not held.

 

The University is not able to confirm the number of students who have
registered as final numbers will not be available until our November and
January admissions are complete. In addition, we are unable to identify
from our systems whether students are studying on campus or remotely as
circumstances are constantly changing e.g. regional Tier 3 restrictions
imposed, national restrictions imposed, asked to self-isolate by NHS Test
and Trace etc.

 

If you are unhappy with the way we have handled your request for
information, you have a right under Section 50 of the Freedom of
Information Act to ask the University to review it; however, you must do
so within 40 working days of the date of this response. Your request
should include our reference number and explain the reason for requesting
