Dear Royal Mint,
Please may I know what proportion of the coinage, with respect to each type of coin that is currently in circulation, is counterfeit?
Yours faithfully,

Dear Mr Salisbury
The Royal Mint has conducted regular counterfeit surveys for United Kingdom £1 coins since 2002 and the last survey, completed in November, indicated a counterfeit rate of 2.74%.
The Royal Mint does not conduct counterfeit surveys into the other circulating denominations as there is no evidence to suggest that these are counterfeited to any substantial degree.
Yours sincerely
Chris Barker
