Dear Trudi

Please find below the Council’s response to your request:

In detail could I have the reason to why this property and the others
listed below have been withdrawn from Rochdale Home Choice bidding for the
second time, after bidding has closed.

082 - 31st August - 3 bed house - Turbary Walk, Milnrow

The property was withdrawn and is awaiting a decision by RBH’s senior
management team in relation to a sensitive let in this area. The Council’s
Housing Allocation Policy enables it to withdrawn properties and allocate
some to manage safe and sustainable communities. Please refer to the link
provided, for a copy of the policy.

369 - 5th Oct - 3 bed house - Windermere Road

This property is owned by Riverside Housing Group. You need to contact
them directly to ascertain why the property was withdrawn.

415 - 12 Oct 3 bed flat - Low Hill, Smallbridge

The Council is aware that you expressed an interest in this property;
however the property was not suitable for you as it is 2^nd  floor flat
and you have a child aged 4 years There is no lift in the block and the
flat is accessed by 18 concrete steps that are not suitable for applicants
with young children. The Council’s Housing Allocation states -

‘’Usually, accommodation within a scheme where there are 3 or more floors,
and where there is no lift, will not be considered suitable for offer to
families with children under the age of 10, unless it is under a local
lettings policy and a full health and safety assessment is in place. Where
the applicant or another agency indicates that they be considered for
accommodation above the first floor and the children are aged 11 years and
over, they may be offered such accommodation.’’

Please note: RBH HomeChoice have tried to contact you on numerous
occasions and left a number of messages to discuss suitability and other
First Come First Serve homes that are available.
