Dear Mr Virgo,

Thank you for your email below regarding your freedom of information
request referenced FOI-1718-0930.

I can confirm that this is has indeed gone overdue and I would like to
apologize for any inconvenience caused by these delays. As you have
suggested, I would hesitate to agree that this is likely due to Christmas
leave within the organisation.

I have, this morning, chased the service area providing a response and
asked them to provide a timescale for response as a matter of urgency and
I will be certain to advise you of this once they have confirmed this.
Although we are mid festive season, I appreciate that any delay on a
request with statutory deadlines is unacceptable and I do apologize
further for the delays experienced in this matter.

I note from the subject of your email that you have indicated that you
would like us to review the handling of this request. As such, I would ask
if you can highlight the exact reasons you would like us to review this
matter so that we can address your concerns. If your concerns relate to
delays in processing of your request, I can log your review on this basis,
but please note that no response will be received regarding this review
until such time as a response to your initial request has been received,
as I won’t be able to fully identify the causes of delay until this is
completed.

If you wish to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to
contact me using the details provided below.
