Dear Department for Work and Pensions,
I have been informed by the Centre for Health and Disability Assessments that the DWP have stipulated to them that a treating healthcare provider must provide written proof as to how or why a customers health conditions prevent them from travelling in order for them to then consider granting a home visit or taxi service. Can you please provide me with the ESA regulation/s that stipulates this requirement by law.
The Centre for Health and Disability Assessments have also informed me that any costs involved in gaining such evidence ( e.g. GP or Physiotherapist letter) must be met by the customer. As this is also stipulated by the DWP according to the The Centre for Health and Disability Assessments in order for them to then consider a reasonable adjustment (ie a taxi or home assessment) can you please provide me with the ESA regulation/s that stipulates this requirement by law.
