Dear Southwark Borough Council,

In 2015 you decided to sell the leasehold of the former Southwark Park Nursing Home, 94 - 116 Southwark Park SE16 (see link below). I would like to know what has happened since, if a sale has been agreed and, if so, what the emerging plans are for the site. The site is a poor state of repair, a real blight on the local area and so a speedy sale and redevelopment is urgently needed.

2017 in which you requested:

In 2015 you decided to sell the leasehold of the former Southwark Park
Nursing Home, 94 - 116 Southwark Park SE16 (see link below). I would like
to know what has happened since, if a sale has been agreed and, if so,
what the emerging plans are for the site. The site is a poor state of
repair, a real blight on the local area and so a speedy sale and
redevelopment is urgently needed.
Your request is being dealt with under the Freedom of Information Act 2000
and you will receive a response within 20 working days of the date that we
received your request.

I have received the response below from Southwark Council:

Please note the council will shortly enter into an Agreement For Lease (AFL) with DV4 Properties (Delancey) who are working closely with the United Saint Saviours Charity to develop 57 new high quality homes for older persons to be let a Council rents. See link attached

The developer is committed to demolishing the current derelict buildings in the next few months.
