Summer 2020
1. Please confirm how many sign ups you had for summer 2020 as at 15th
March 2020
As of the 15th March 2020 there had been 62,230 payments processed
for young people to take part in the NCS summer programme.
2. Please confirm how much has been paid to your supply chain for
summer 2020 delivery so far.
Up until the date of this request, £58.3m has been paid to NCS delivery
partners. This amount represents payments that enabled partners to
set up summer programmes. We are working with suppliers to
repurpose funds to deliver an alternative NCS 2020 experience.
3. Please confirm if the summer program is going ahead
Our priority is protecting the health of everyone and the containment
of Covid-19, so NCS will not be running in its traditional format this
Summer.
We are delivering an alternative, digital Summer 2020 NCS offering
which is free for all young people. We have launched our Staying
Connected digital hub which is based on elements of our traditional
programme and is available to all young people.
Please see our Media release about NCS summer 2020 programme.

4. Please confirm the percentage of money you will be able to recover from
your providers if the programme does not go ahead.
We are seeking to agree contract changes for alternative 2020
programmes with suppliers by the end of June, part of which will be
about how to repurpose funds received from the Trust for the originally
planned 2020 programmes.
