Procurement of Energy saving Technology

We're waiting for Carl Rogers to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Maritime Academy Trust,

Please can you provide information regarding investment by the Trust in energy saving lighting technology, such as LED lighting or control systems.

A tabled summary covering the following;
- The number of schools under the trust where purchases have been made
- Which product suppliers and contractors have been appointed to carry out any installations at each school
- The contract value of the appointments made, for both equipment/product and contractor installations
- What form of contract these works were appointed against
- Confirmation of the procurement process used for each appointment used to satisfy Public Procurement Regulations

I would request this be provide to cover the past 5 years - commencement from April 2017 will suffice.

I refer to your request dated 4th February 2022 made under the Freedom of
Information Act 2014, which was received on 4th February 2022 for records
held by Maritime Academy Trust.  Your request sought:

Information regarding investment by the Trust in energy saving lighting
technology, such as LED lighting or control systems from April 2017 to
date: 

A tabled summary covering the following;

-       The number of schools under the trust where purchases have been
made
-       Which product suppliers and contractors have been appointed to
carry out any installations at each school
-       The contract value of the appointments made, for both
equipment/product and contractor installations
-       What form of contract these works were appointed against
-       Confirmation of the procurement process used for each appointment
used to satisfy Public Procurement Regulations

The decision maker handling your request is Susan Matheson and they can be
contacted at 020 8016 6064.  A final decision on your request would
normally be sent to you within 4 weeks, where a week is defined as 5
working day excluding the weekend and public holidays. This means that you
can expect a decision letter to issue not later than 11th March 2022 (due
to school closures for 1 week from February 14th 2022).

 

There are some limited situations under the FOI Act, where a final
decision may take longer than 4 weeks.  If this occurs in the case of your
request, we will advise you promptly in writing setting out the reason and
the new decision date.

 

Section 27 of the Act, provides for the charging of fees in relation to
costs associated with search, retrieval and copying of records. You will
be advised shortly if any such fee applies in this case.

 

If you have not heard from us once the allotted time has expired, you are
automatically entitled to appeal a review of the matter.  This review
proceeds on the legal basis that the initial request is considered to be
refused once the specified time for responding to it has expired.  The
review is a full and new examination of the matter carried out by a more
senior member of staff.

 

In the event that you need to request such a review, you can do so
by sending an e-mail to [1][email address] should state
that you are seeking this review because an initial decision was not sent
to you within the time allowed for a response. You have 4 weeks (after the
initial decision should have been sent to you) in which to make the
appeal.
