Demb, Sarah, Museum of London

Dear Nicola,

Thank you for your email of 17 June in which you asked how the Museum of
London:

1) procures our Construction Consultancy Services and 2) Construction
Contractors; 3) if by our own framework, what are the a) titles and
content of the relevant frameworks; b) who is on the current frameworks;
c) t he start and end dates of the frameworks; d) any possible extension
periods to the frameworks; and e) the name and contact email of person
responsible for the frameworks.

1) The Museum's Construction Consultancy Services are procured on a
project-by-project basis via a competitive tendering process in line with
the museum's relevant policies and procedures (see below). An alternative
route may be via the [1]Office of Government Buying Solutions Framework
agreement.

2) The Museum's Construction Contractors are procured on a
project-by-project basis via a competitive tendering process in line with
the museums policies and procedures (see below as per question 1).

Where the value of either contract exceeds the [2]Official Journal of the
European Community (OJEC) thresholds, then this may be undertaken through
the EU if the existing Buying Solutions Frameworks prove unsuitable.

3) The museum does not have its own framework agreements.

The museum's policies and procedures for procuring construction
consultancy services and construction contractors are covered by its
Procurement Policy and Procedures and by its Financial Regulations.

We believe that this answers your enquiry. If you are dissatisfied with
the Museum's response you may seek an internal review. Applications for an
internal review can be made to me. The handling of the enquiry will then
be reviewed by a senior member of the museum's staff who was not involved
in the preparation of the initial response.

If following the internal review you are still unhappy with the response,
you may seek an independent review from the Information Commissioner at
Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.

Regards
