Dear Nicola,

Thank you for your email request dated 16 July 2010 under the Freedom of
Information (Scotland) Act 2002 for information about the procurement of
contractors and consultancy services by the National Archives of Scotland.

The National Archives of Scotland (NAS) is an Agency of the Scottish
Government and is accountable to the Scottish Ministers. We are based in 3
buildings within Edinburgh.

As part of the Scottish Government, we are obliged to use central
contractors and frameworks which are set up mostly through the Central
Government Centre of Procurement Expertise (CGCoPE). Given the diversity
of commodities I offer to answer your enquires by directing you to the
Scottish Government's Home Page for procurement. Construction Consultancy
Services are covered by EU advertising thresholds and such tenders are in
the public domain.

I hope this answers your request satisfactorily but if you have any
complaints, please contact me at [4][email address] . If
this fails to resolve the matter to your complete satisfaction, you have
the right to apply to the Scottish Information Commissioner for a
decision.

Thank you for your interest in The National Archives of Scotland.

Yours sincerely
