Ards and North Down Borough Council has processed your request in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and please see the Council’s response below.

1 - The number of Direct Award Contracts issued - detailed by company awarded to, value of contract
Since 1 April 2019 there have been 24no Direct Award Contracts (see attached document). Please note that personal data has been redacted within the attached recorded information. The names of individual sole traders who would hold a reasonable expectation their personal data would not be disclosed to the world at large have been redacted in accordance with section 40(3A)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 on the basis disclosure would contravene the first data protection principle of lawful, fair and transparent processing.
2 - The number of challenges received to procurement processes - detailed by contract name, value of contract
Since 1 April 2019 there has been 1no challenge received – “Tender for the Loading, Delivery and Treatment of Collected Glass Containers in the Borough of Ards and North Down”, contract value approx. £500,000 over a 5yr period.
Within the current financial year please provide all contracts that are currently operating outside of a competitively procured process - detailed by company, services being provided, expenditure to date
